Professor Tom Allen,
CIBC Scholar in Agricultural Entrepreneurship
Tom is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Bioresource Policy, Business & Economics and is the CIBC Chair in Agricultural Entrepreneurship. Tom has 16 years of experience as a teacher of agricultural economics and entrepreneurship and 20 years of experience as a farmer. Teaching has been focused in the areas of agribusiness marketing and entrepreneurship. Tom has received several teaching awards; twice "Teacher of the Year in the Vocational Agriculture Program", a national association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture Award of Merit, was selected Professor of the Year in 2001 by the degree students at the College of Agriculture, and in 2003 was recognized as the Outstanding Advisor by the National Agribusiness Marketing Association. Research and extension activities have focused on agribusiness marketing and entrepreneurship. Tom served for numerous years as Special Advisor to the Dean of Agriculture on matters concerning First Nation Peoples and First Nation economic activity. In 2007, he was appointed Strategic Project Leader for Indigenous Land and Resource Management with a special emphasis on wealth creation in indigenous communities.

Professor William J. Brown
Bill was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He earned his BSA degree in agricultural economics from the University of Manitoba and an MSc degree in agricultural economics from the University of Alberta. Bill has been teaching and conducting research in the Department of Bioresource Policy, Business & Economics at the University of Saskatchewan since 1978. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of farm and agribusiness management, planning and finance. He has supervised over 60 undergraduate groups completing agribusiness plans and numerous graduate students at the MSc level. dealing with agricultural issues throughout Saskatchewan and Canada. He has also been involved in agribusiness training and development projects in China, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Guatemala, Mongolia and Mexico.

Dr. Brooke Dobni
Brooke is the Head of the Department of Management and Marketing as well as a Professor of Strategy and the PotashCorp Chair for Saskatchewan Enterprise at the Edwards School of Business. He teaches corporate strategy and his research in the areas of strategy, innovation and performance measurement are widely published. He has recently developed and published an innovation index, and his most recent research explores entrepreneurial behaviors that promote innovation in organizations. Brooke is also engaged in consulting activity – primarily helping organizations to develop and sustain innovation cultures. His client list includes CP Rail, SaskCentral, Concentra Financial, SED Systems, the Saskatchewan Research Council, EDS, and Cameco Corporation.

Dr. Marv Painter,
Director, Wilson Centre for Entrepreneurial Excellence
Marv has been involved in undergraduate and graduate level teaching, research, consulting work and external training programs. He has received a teaching excellence award in both the MBA and MPACC programs. Consulting projects have included economic development projects, business planning, feasibility and commercialization studies, marketing analysis, and agricultural financial analysis. Research publications have been in the areas of agribusiness, entrepreneurship, and farmland investment. Marv has been involved in external training programs through the Edwards School of Business including the Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program and Ag West Bio business planning workshops.
